How do you like that?? I know some of you are getting sick of seeing pictures of my fruits (kids) and my veggies, but this one I thought was worth a picture. It is so cute!!

And yes my boys even like flowers!!! I was taking pictures of the first one and Jack said "Mom you have to get a picture of this one!" I am so glad Jack takes time to really see things. I remember not too long ago him saying to me Mom look how beautiful the dew looks on the grass with the sun shinning on it! Or when driving to school he will say look at the sun rise it is so awesome or when we surf the clouds and try to find things in them. I wish we all spent more time enjoying what is around us. Just look at that sunflower!! WOW. But I must admit I do love and enjoy my book cover clad lads!!!

It was a mix up!!! Thank you Lord!! She sent me an e-mail saying she had written herself a note to talk to me about my dossier papers and forgot what she meant to talk to me about. They had a very busy week last week. The problem was the papers from my accountant, the notary's expiration is Oct 6th 2009 and they need the date she renews it. It has to be good at time of travel. Dont ask me why I just do as I am told WHAT ever it takes to get my girl HOME!! I don't think this will hold anything up. I am just soo glad I did not have to go back and redo those papers again it would have been the 4th time for our medicals!!!

I received an e-mail last night after church saying...
Hi Mike and Debbie
Just wanted to let you know what we still need for your dossier. You probably know but I just wanted to make sure since we are getting close to immigration approval. Anyways, hers the list.
1. Letter of Intent
2. Health Evals
3. Employment letters
4. Guardianship form
5. A couple of photos of the inside of your home.

WHAT????
I hope and pray this is a mistake!!! She should have everything! I got the papers to redo back on 8-3 and got them done and sent back to her on 8-4. I checked my delivery conformation and it says it was delivered! I had even sent an e-mail making sure she got it and she responded saying they were being sent to be authenticated on Monday or Tuesday! I am praying that is where they are and this is just a mix up!!!
They are in CO so I will have to wait till 11:00 to call... I sent a few e-mails last night with the dates and e-mails ...

First day of School =)

Today was Kai's First day of kindergarten and Jack's first day of 8th grade!! They were both excited and had a great day! Kai was fine with all the pictures but Jack not so much! I also added some pics of the late summer flowers around the yard, I will miss them in a few months. Still no word on an update. I really wish I could get it out of my head for a while but it is always right there on the surface. Last time I did not know when we would get one this time they told me they asked and I cant get it out of my head since. Is she ok... how is her heart... is she growing...

I pray for her always!!

Good results!!!

Kai's MRI went well! The DR. said his films looked good. His ventricles are still large but he has been watching for change and it has not, so he said that it may be just the way it will be! and I am ok with that! He said we do not need to come back for 3years!!!! (unless he gets a severe head ache) That will give me time to pay this one off get all Lily's tests done & paid for and start saving for his next, Right? It kills me to go out of my insurance network but his DR is the best and I am not going to mess with anything other when we are dealing with Kai's brain!!! So other than being REALLY tired and unable to sleep due to a really big head ache, I am really happy and relieved!!

I hope you enjoyed the pics they are from Tuesday we took the kids to Cedar Point, No vacation this summer(saving for adoption) and Jack had won his ticket at school so we decided to go with My brother Jim and Melissa and James. We had a great time!

Prayers for Kai

We need prayers for Kai tomorrow he will be getting a sedated MRI. Prayers for his dislike of needles and no complications from the sedation. But most of all that this will be the last one he will need! I see no signs of any thing wrong so I am not really worried too much about that, but I know there is always a chance, as 2 MRIs ago should have been his last but they keep seeing something to prompt them to do one more and one more. We have to be at University at 6:30 am so we will be leaving home brite and early 5:30am with a hungry child (he is a big morning eater) at least this time he is a little older and we speak the same language!!! Well I think it is a good thing!! Thanks ahead of time for all your prayers!! Oh I should have the results tomorrow too which is a great thing! They schedule me an appointment to talk to the doctor the same day so we don't have to drive all the way back.

Fingerprint appointments!!

So we got our letters from the USICS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) informing us of our appointment date to get our finger prints taken. Sept. 8th Yea! One step closer!! After this they will send us an approval confirming we are who we say we are. I am not sure how long it will take to get that but I will let you know as soon as I find out. I have had a crabby week sorry I have not posted, but I had nothing nice to say. Not sure what is bothering me. I am hoping to get out of this funk!! Had to add the sunflower pictures!!

What is summer with out Baseball?

We had a great time at the Crushers Game last night. it rained all day but the weather was perfect for the game.

Boy I wish I had not even thought the thought about "getting the update this early" we still have not gotten anything. Every time I walk by my computer I hit refresh to see if anything has come. I hope we hear something this week. I am almost afraid to say this but... as MUCH as I WANT new pictures, just to know her health is good and she is doing well would be great. I was doing so well with just knowing we would be going in the spring (early spring i was hoping), but I am getting anxious. I finished the 10 hrs of Hague training already, and the just sitting around doing nothing (for the adoption, sitting around doing nothing is far from reality for this mom) any way It is hard to do nothing I was a bit sad when I finished the training it gave me something to do.

We are waiting for the USICS to send us a letter with a date to come get our finger prints done. Once that is done they will review everything and decide if we are who we say we are and send us an approval to adopt. Once we get that we send it to AAC and it gets sent to be certified & authenticated (on a rush basis), Once it comes back it is added to the rest of our Dossier paperwork (that is being certified & authenticated now) and it is sent to China. Then we wait for a log in date. It takes 3 to 5 months to get LOC (letter of seeking conformation) then wait for TA (travel approval) 2-6 weeks after LOC. Got all that!!! People keep asking what takes so long, well there you have it! paper passing sending approving authenticating sitting shuffling... and then it goes to China and they do some more of all that and some stamping and some who knows what else...

I did it!!

With 10 minutes to spare!! The papers are on the way! Done again! I think, I hope ! I do not want anything to keep us one minute longer from our girl!
Have you checked out my cousin's baby oh she is so so cute and is doing great!!! Check out their blog it is on the right side click their link then when you get to their site you have to click a travel site link. I was looking forward to watching their blog while we waited I thought is would make the wait less hard, but it is making me long to hold my baby girl so bad! I also feel an ache in my heart that I was not able to be with her or Kai as babies! Just keep praying for my Lily that her heart is being prepared in this time before we pic her up!!!

Time at the beach with friends

We took some time last night to spend some time at the beach with friends. It was great to see Kai and Cade play together! Kelley and I have been friends since 6th grade and rarely get together so it was really nice :)

On the adoption front I received the papers in the mail Monday and called my CPA to redo his and took the medicals to my Doctor to have them redone. So if all works out well today I will pick up the medicals and run them to His other office to have them notarized and then pick up the papers form my CPA and head to the bank to have our corrected petition letter notarized and make it to the post office to send off. It is already 1:00 and my CPA is 20min one way and Dr. is 30min the other way. so it may not all get done today.

Time at our cabin

We had a nice week end and beautiful weather this past weekend at our cabin. We went down with friends of ours and the boys did lots of boy stuff I was glad to have a friend along to share in the cooking and cleanup :) thanks Helen!!! We went to Old Mans Cave and enjoyed Gods awesome landscape!! Look close and you will see the boys in some of them. It was also Kai's first time riding a dirt bike (pit bike) He was a little unsure and I am happy about that!
