Time at the beach with friends

We took some time last night to spend some time at the beach with friends. It was great to see Kai and Cade play together! Kelley and I have been friends since 6th grade and rarely get together so it was really nice :)

On the adoption front I received the papers in the mail Monday and called my CPA to redo his and took the medicals to my Doctor to have them redone. So if all works out well today I will pick up the medicals and run them to His other office to have them notarized and then pick up the papers form my CPA and head to the bank to have our corrected petition letter notarized and make it to the post office to send off. It is already 1:00 and my CPA is 20min one way and Dr. is 30min the other way. so it may not all get done today.

Time at our cabin

We had a nice week end and beautiful weather this past weekend at our cabin. We went down with friends of ours and the boys did lots of boy stuff I was glad to have a friend along to share in the cooking and cleanup :) thanks Helen!!! We went to Old Mans Cave and enjoyed Gods awesome landscape!! Look close and you will see the boys in some of them. It was also Kai's first time riding a dirt bike (pit bike) He was a little unsure and I am happy about that!

Good and Bad news!

Which first... Well I will tell you the bad news first, It is not that bad and the good is really good I think! Bad news we have to redo some of the paperwork ;( The medical paperwork our financial paperwork and our letter of intent, the date they were signed and the date notarized are different. I asked if it would hold things up and Nicole said no because we are waiting for our I-800. So that's not too too bad just allot of running around and counting on other people to do what they are supposed to.

And now for the GOOD news...

While I was on the phone with Nicole I asked if we would get any updates, She said yes I asked when could we expect one she said let me ask Morgan if he requested one yet. He must have been sitting right there, and said yes he had but he said the lady(?) had been out of town but she was back now. He said she HAS received your care package!!!! I said who the orphanage or the foster family? Nicole said the foster family, you have been presented as Lily's family!!!! I can not believe that happened! With Kai I never knew if he got the packages & photo books. I am soo happy to know she has it and (from what we have been told) she can see us before we come to get her!! =) And to think we may get an update I can hardly believe it. I am almost, let me repeat almost afraid to get one this early because it may be months before we get another! or maybe not at all! It may only be an update on size and medical condition but I am praying to see new pictures. If looking at pictures could wear them out these pictures would be worn out!! I am just so thankful to have heard that she has our pictures and the Lord can start to prepare her for this journey.

Boys & Butterflies

I have not posted in a few days and I am sure someone will be letting me know! I was checking a few blogs I follow and one (some one we traveled with last time) had not posted in about a month, I was starting to get concerned. I check it the other day and this is a poem from a family member was posted. It is perfect!!!

I thought it was so cute! if you follow any blogs you will understand=) I also wanted to post that my cousin Jeff and Amy are traveling on Wednesday to get their baby girl. Check out their blog it is on the right side. They are also posting on a travel site, It is hard to post to a blog from China ( I will have to remember this come spring!!) http://rogersadoptionjourney.shtterfly.com/ I am not sure if you can click the link or not. I e-mailed our agency and asked if it is possible to travel in March and he said yes!!!(there are allot of steps that can hold things up) It would be great to get her before her birthday!!! We are working through the 10 hours of online Hague training that is required now we did not have to do this with Kai's adoption. It is allot of this could happen or your child could have these issues... All we can do is trust the Lord will not give us more than we can handle! It is good to have all the information and be prepared if it is needed!

6 weeks

I received an e-mail saying "takes about 6 weeks for everything to get certified AND authenticated" That would be Aug 31st. After that they send our Dossier to China to be Logged in.That would be early Sept. and I believe it takes 3 to 5 months for LOC Letter of Conformation (Feb.?) . Then we wait for Invitation letter which comes 2 to 6 weeks after LOC. March maybe?? I would love to go around the same time as we did with Kai the weather was wonderful!!!! OR SOONER!!!! =)

SENT!!!!!!!!

Dossier DONE and in the mail!! Now some waiting and then a little more waiting ..... But our dossier is done and in 1 month! I also received the translated letter to send in Lily's care package and so I sent the care package TOO! No more pink bunny in bed with us =) It should get to the orphanage in 6 to 10 days and with any luck she should get it shortly after that! 1 shoe box sized box 5lbs 2 oz packed full (bulging) for $45.00 I pray it gets to her!!! If nothing else the photos! Please say a prayer!
:) Jack is on his way home!! :) He has no voice and says he had a great time! I can not wait to see him!
